You will find actvities suited for every taste. Western North Carolina is loaded with craft, antique and gift shops. The great outdoors offer horseback riding, mountain golf courses, trout fishing, white water rafting and scenic drives on The Blue Ridge Parkway. Snow skiing and tubing are available at the Catalooche Ski Area. It's just a short trip to Asheville, known for the Biltmore Estate, craft breweries and some of the best restaurants in the South. Cherokee Indian Reservation and Harrah's Casino are nearby, and it's only a day trip to Gatlinburg and Dollywood in Pigeon Forge.

  This was our 2nd stay at Golden Vista, and we chose it for our Golden Anniversary! The location is wonderful. The house is almost perfect in it's layout. The appliances are top shelf. The view goes on forever and we just don't get tired of it. Only improvement we would suggest is a better dining table. On top of everything else, we were told that we were the first guests to enjoy the new master bathroom.A very unexpected pleasure! For any of you that have been before, you need to go back for this!!

  This is a beautiful small home that is truly on top of the mountain with gorgeous views. It is peaceful and comfortable and a perfect place for a get away! Don’t let the road leading to it dissuade you as it is worth the trek up. Loved the close proximity to shopping, dining, and the park.

  There were traces of dog hairs throughout the home which should've been cleaned up better.

  The views were amazing and the location perfect. Cleanliness of the home was adequate. I think when pets are allowed you’ll always find fur/dust balls no matter how good the cleaning service is. The TV technology was difficult for us, we’re senior citizens. The front door lock was near impossible to lock. It was so aggravating that we chose to enter and exit from downstairs once we got it locked. The bed in the primary bedroom is very comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed.

  No exaggeration, this is the best rental property we've experienced. There were just two of us and our small dog but the house could comfortably accommodate 4. Three full bathrooms and two BRs. What an incredible view. Catch the sunrise on the porch or just open the main level bedroom curtains in the morning. The house was so clean and the owners are so kind to share this house with others. We enjoyed the espresso and coffees they provide for guests. It does take about 15 minutes to get up the mountain but the road is good and the view is worth it. Friends with a RWD van came up with only minor issue at the top where there's a sharp turn on gravel. You can park two cars. The neighborhood is fantastic. You can walk the roads with your pets. Location is great for Waynesville shopping or visits to Maggie Valley. Sid at Carolina Vacations really took care of us well and always had time to answer any questions we had. We stayed 9 nights and would have extended if available. We already have our next visit to Golden Vista booked and can't wait to go back!

  We loved our experience at Angel Ridge and would easily stay here again. It was clean, there were luxurious amenities (that stove is incredible) and the view was breathtaking. We loved the space and watched movies and TV in the movie space almost every day. We didn't require any interaction with the customer service team, but understood that they were easy to get a hold of if necessary.
  
  The drive was very steep, so I would recommend an all terrain vehicle with good tires to make it up the mountainside. Downtown Waynesville was beautiful with a fun ice cream shop and some decent restaurants, and we had a great time at the local park in the creek with lots of swimming spots.

  We’ve stayed at golden vista a couple of times now when visiting family in the area. It’s perfect for our family of four. The house is very well appointed, clean, and super comfortable. The beds are great and the whole place very tastefully decorated. It has everything you need. The best part, however, is the views from the porch - breathtaking! Well worth the semi scary drive up the mountain. We will be back.

  The house was very nice and comfortable. The only drawback was the distance up the mountain. It was a 10-15 minute up and around very sharp turns to reach the house location. Once there the view was incredible, especially the sunrise and early morning fog. Great photography.

  Our stay at Golden Vista was wonderful. The only issue we had was that the AC went out for part of our stay. However, property management sent someone out as soon as they could to fix it. This maintenance issue was out of everyone's control and the property owner was gracious to give a partial refund for our inconvenience. Overall, we would recommend this place to anyone and would like to come again. The property was VERY clean and well kept - my husband and I were impressed.
