Just a short drive up a mountain road “Papa's Place" is waiting to greet you and provide you with a private mountain vacation. No traffic, no noise, what you will find is nature at its best, comfort, beauty and views that change with the seasons. On a cool mountain night you can warm by the wood burning fireplace, cuddle up under a blanket and catch up on that reading you haven’t had time for or settle in for a little TV. When you ready to turn in you will find sleeping areas on all three levels of this great house. Summer and fall nights star gaze from the deck that wraps around the front and side of the house. Hikers and nature lovers will love to explore in the day. You will find this home hard to leave once you are in but Maggie Valley will welcome you too. There is a lot to do for adventurous guests in the area. Come ride the rapids, ski Cataloochee, take a horseback riding adventure, shop the valley, play golf on some of the most beautiful golf courses in Western North Carolina, visit The Cherokee Indian Reservation, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, try your hand at Harrah’s Casino just minutes away, or you can even pan for gold!

The home has a master suite on the main floor and another on the top floor each with a television and the lower level has another living area and a bedroom with a set of bunk beds and and two twins and the ping pong table and electric dart board.

  Papa's Place was the sits on top of a mountain with a stream flowing down below. It is very peaceful. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck at night and just listening to the stream flow.
  The house itself was VERY clean and had plenty of room. The kitchen had everything you needed. The beds were very comfortable.
  My family and I enjoyed our stay and hope to stay at Papa's Place again.

  We wanted to spend Spring Break up in the mountains and found this "cabin." When we arrived we were delighted to find the home and property was just as nice as it looks in the photos, and the added sound of the flowing creek just made it even better. This house is well furnished - everything we needed was there and clearly labeled (we loved the labels, all the way down to the light switches). And the house was very clean. The location of the property makes it both easy to get to and nearly completely isolated. Having 4 teenagers, we were thrilled to find good internet service at the property and there was never a lack of things for us to do. Even with 6 of us, there was definitely enough space to spread out for some "alone time" when needed.
  
  There was one incident with a leaky shower head which required maintenance. The number to call was in our e-mails and posted at the house, and the office was friendly and responsive and the maintenance crew had us taken care of by the end of the day.
  
  We really couldn't be happier with this rental, and will definitely keep this in mind as a go-to for any future family mountain getaways.

  The property is beeeautiful. So much to take in, and hidden away so nicely. The house was well supplied (but don't forget your TP!), so cozy and comfy. We had 4 adults and 6 kids and were able to spread out comfortably, even at meal times. We want to come back to Maggie Valley just to stay at Papa's Place!!

  We were very pleased with the house it was near the top of the hill. It was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. It was 15 minutes from the ski slopes and seven minutes from the main road with plenty of shops and restaurants. The bottom level was perfect for my son and his friends with three bunkbeds plenty of room for them to play Foos ball chill on the couch and hang out. Our master suite upstairs was perfect, far enough away from the kids to where we had peace and quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the fireplace was great. They had plenty of firewood prepared for us. All of the kitchen appliances worked well and it snowed 6 inches on the last night we were there. Overall a great trip and we will definitely return!

  The cabin was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 6 older teens. Everything was great! The only surprises were 1. the Keurig - fortunately I threw a few pods in my bag that got us thru the first morning, but had planned for regular coffee maker. and 2. Don't wait until Saturday night to read check out instructions. You are only allowed 2 bags of trash to be left in the cabin all others have to go to a dumpster off site which are closed on Sundays.
  Overall it was PERFECT!
