Heart of the Valley is located on Soco Road and is within walking distance to Maggie Valley Carpet Golf, Stompin Ground, Wheels Through Time Museum, Maggie Valley Festival Grounds, Maggie Valley Puzzle Rooms (Escape Rooms), and gift and antique shops.

There is ample parking for multiple cars and trucks with trailers on the property and has easy year round access for motorcycles, slingshots and spyders.

The home is also within 10 minutes of downtown Waynesville and is conviently located to hiking, fishing, rafting, skiing, horseback riding and golf. Asheville is 35 minutes east and offers The Biltomoe Estate, shopping, the arts and great restaurants. You may also plan a day trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge.

  We have rented this cabin countless times and it is always a relief when we arrive it truly is our "home away from home". We enjoy the calm peaceful porch sitting it offers and the location to the fair grounds is perfect. Just a short walk and we can attend events there. Added bonus this trip a new Breakfast location has opened across the street and the food there is amazing and we walked over easily even with our daughter's wheelchair! And we got to play Putt Putt also within walking distance!! Another Maggie Valley getaway in the books and YES we will be renting this cabin again when we visit the area again!

  This place was super clean. Has 7 beds so we brought a couple air mattress so we didn’t have to bunk with a buddy. plenty of space for that. location is right on the main drag which was what i wanted as we rode our bikes to cherhola,tail of dragon,foothills parkway and every wrong turn. Didn’t use the hot tub but heard it running. ac worked great. was able to park 3 trucks and trailers. I highly recommend this place and will return next time down that way. Price was great too.

  Our stay was scheduled for one of the worst winter weather spells our region had seen in a long time. We had originaly booked another cabin. Carolina Vacation rentals reached out to us ahead of arrival and explained that our booked cabin may not be accessible due to the snow and ice and that he had a "backup " cabin ready to go. We tried and could not reach the first cabin, so we checked into "Heart of the Valley" which was a free upgrade. Clean spacious cabin that stayed toasty even in sub-zero weather. the only reason I wouldn't reccomend this spot is if you want privacy. It is right in the middle of town on the main drag and convienent to everything, just not secluded. Huge thank you to Carolina Vacations for taking such good care of us. I would definately stay here again.

  Pretty nice set up. The kitchen is very minimally stocked (we had to go but our own dish towels). There is no dishwasher which is fine but they don’t supply a dish rack. Probably nice for most people but it was just too loud being right off the main drag. The biggest thing was the hot tub wasn’t functional, we were not informed of this by the rental company.

  We did the Slingshots in the Smokies rally and love the fact that this cabin is so closed to the Fairgrounds. It has plenty of parking and 2 separate living quarters (One downstairs and one upstairs), which allowed everyone to have their space and privacy.   Our chaperoned teens loved this cabin--especially the hot tub and the pool table--after a day on the slopes. Carolina Vacations was so responsive to our needs. The location is perfect, especially if the forecast is for snow because it is located on a main road with a flat drive.
  
  When we had trouble with the hot tub, the maintenance person came by and fixed it immediately. And we were given an extended check-out when roads were too icy for us to leave by 11am.
  
  The cable televisions worked easily, and there were plenty of dishes (and two kitchens) and towels for a party of 11. We would stay at Heart of the Valley again in a heartbeat (and plan to return next year!).

  Great place and everything we wanted. Set up was great and had no problems at all. The property managers were awesome and check in and check out was a breeze. If you check out on a Sunday plan a little time on Saturday to take trash to dump so you aren't hauling trash out with you on Saturday (only 2 bags can stay there). Hot tub was nice and we enjoyed it. The place was clean and easy to find. Just know that it is right off a main road but it felt still private to us and had no problems at all.

  For the price, location, and the amount of people this cabin held, it is worth every penny. Just like any cabin, you can hear every whisper so nothing out of the norm there. The rooms would never get warm though, the family room area stayed toasty. There weren't enough blankets for warmth and the beds were very worn and not comfortable so sleep was not that great. We had to drive couple miles up the road in the snow to throw trash away and carry trash with us home because the dump site was closed on the Sunday we departed. I've never had to take care of my own trash when renting a cabin so that left us in a bind to have Christmas at a place where you couldn't throw the bags of trash away. There is a trailer campsite behind the cabin that seemed to throw their trash away in the trash bin outside of the cabin, but the neighbors were never a bother. But over all the negatives in this review, our family was blessed to have a white Christmas in a great location.

  Description says it accommodates 13. It does not, it sleeps 13. There were not 13 sets of towels, the hot tub is a small 4 person tub, there is not 13 sets of tableware. Cleaning was subpar; cobwebs on inside of windows, screen door (which barely worked) wad flithy, & bathroom vents have not been cleaned in a long time. The beds were comfortable & there was plenty of space but you will listen to traffic all day & night. Nice porches & decks but a fire pit would have been nice. I have never ever stayed at a place the requited you to take your trash with you when you leave but the free drop off miles down the road was closed on check out day. Terrible & disgusting that it had to go in my car with my luggage and groceries when there was 30 gallon can outside.

  A group of us stayed in this beautiful home for a snow tubing weekend. The snow tubing was a bust because of the unusual weather, but a trip to an indoor tubing center in Pigeon Forge was exactly what we needed and we had a great time. We enjoyed using the home as our "home base" during all our outings. The home was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. The youth especially loved the pool table/ping pong table. The ample parking allowed room for a small trailer that we pulled along with our 15 passenger van. I would highly recommend this home. If you have small children you should know this home is right on the main hwy, however there is a big back area for any outdoor play. We wanted to be on the main road in case of snow and ice.
