Belvedere is 25 minutes from Harrah's Casino and The Cherokee Indian Reservation, 25 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and 30 minutes from Asheville and The Biltmore Estate. Historic downtown Waynesville, The Blue Ridge Parkway and Cataloochee Ski Resort are also just minutes away.

  Cute cabin with cool breeze every morning and evening in deck. Loved the fireplace and good beds, clean and well supplied. The driveway is very steep and the deck had old metal chairs that need replaced, but they had nice plastic chairs to sit on to enjoy the view. A few problems were quickly fixed by management.

  We really enjoyed Belvedere! But there's a few things you should know before renting. The cabin wasn't very clean. Cobwebs, dust, and the upstairs floor wasn't vacuumed. Bird poop all over the deck and chairs. No Spring cleaning to remove leaves from entryway. The vacuums provided we're small and didn't pick up much or else I would have cleaned it up. The drive up and down from the cabin is very steep but you'll get used to it after a few times. I wouldn't dare try it if there's snow on the ground. The downstairs bedroom has a constant chirping sound through the wall that makes it difficult to sleep. Upstairs bed and bedroom is lovely. The ignition switch for the outdoor gas fire pit is broken. Use the long lighter (that we left) to start it. Be aware that you need to press ## before the gate code or it won't open. The instructions from Carolina Vacations only mentioned one #. Other than the cleanliness and chirping noise this place is a gem in Maggie Valley. We had many fun evenings playing games and on a cold night enjoyed the wood burning fire place. We only had enough wood there for one night. It should be stocked up. I'm sure if Carolina Vacations actually did their job, and deep cleaned the place it would be more enjoyable for the guests. They didn't answer the phone or call me back when I asked about the ignition switch and how to start the fire pit.The chirping sound in the downstairs bedroom needs to be remedied. Insulate the shed where the chirp from the pumps is coming from. Insulate the wall. Do something. I had to keep my tv on all night just so I could sleep. Even though this sound slime a bunch of complaints, it could all be easily fixed and this cabin is super cute and we did enjoy our time there.

  The home was as advertised however it could stand a good rug cleaning, yard clearing, deck power wash and basic maintenance. Throw rugs looked dirty (my dog was very interested in the odors emanating from them), the yard and driveway were VERY overgrown (no where to walk a dog), the deck, when wet, was slick with mildew and the toilet needs to be bolted to the floor. There was a bucket of dirty water left outside on the deck steps and bird seed covering the deck as well. Unkempt looking. Lastly, it would be great to have the driveway sides trimmed back since it's so steep - any clearance would be helpful.

  The location is 2 miles up steep roads. It is set back into the mountain and is very quiet and private. The view is very relaxing. The property shows bigger in the photos than what is really is, about 10%.
  
  We were disappointed about the cleanliness. When we arrived we found crumbs and coffee stains on the counters in the kitchen, the oven was disgusting and needed cleaning. In addition, the property was very dusty and had cobwebs. The coffee pot had coffee in the pot. The fans had not been cleaned in a while as evident by the dust on the blade edges.
  
  The general cleanliness gave us concern about any Covid-19 cleaning that might of happened.
  
  We had two additional issues with AC and missing sheets which the property management handle promptly.
  
  It is very sad as the property could be a 5 star if given proper care.

  The rental/check-in process was so easy and the cabin was perfect! Everything was just as described and it made for a perfect baby moon getaway with our pup before our little guy arrives!!
