Blue Jay Hideaway

We rented this beautiful cabin over Labor day weekend after a recommendation from a friend. The cabin was updated and very clean. The host was very friendly and easy to work with. The location of the property is very convenient to several hikes and waterfalls as well as the Blue Ridge parkway. Sunset at Waterrock Knob is a must. The cabin is very close to downtown Waynesville as well which is nice for planning a lunch, shopping or dinner. I highly recommend this cabin and give it 5 stars. We will definitely be back.

We have stayed at Blue Jay Hideaway multiple times over the years. We love the location of the house. On the mountain but not too far up, the stream in the back makes fun for kids and listening to on the patio and it’s only a short drive to so many fun towns and places to visit. The house is updated beautifully and very clean. It’s one of our favorite getaway destinations.

  Sid was a tremendous help in finding a rental unit in the neighborhood where we wanted to stay. Unit should have directions on how to operate the TV. Exterior could be better maintained in particular, the deck should be blown off.

  Overall our stay was ok. The location was very nice. The house was really cute and the sunroom was pretty with a great view. We were disappointed the heat in sunroom didn't work and the fireplace wasn't working. I tried to reach maintenance but my call wasn't returned at any time. The toilet in bathroom off bedroom wasn't flushing properly. The kitchen was nice and open and had a nice island. If issues are fixed I would stay again.

  The description on the property doesn't make a justice. We booked by looking at the pictures and glad that we booked this property. It is very well maintained, newly upgraded and has a great view of woods. We had no trouble at this property and didn't have to reach out to property manager. I would definitely recommend this for your Maggie Valley stay.
